Class Descriptions 

 Restful Yoga:  A slow paced class designed to release stored tension.  The poses will be held for longer lengths of time to encourage “letting go” while the body is partially or fully supported by various yoga props.  Anyone can benefit from this blissful practice.

Hatha:  A slower paced class that allows the practitioner more time to connect with each posture (asana).  The use of bandhas (muscular and energetic locks) and ujjayi breathing will be encouraged to help deepen your practice.  This is a well-rounded class that will increase balance, strength and flexibility.

This is a good class for those just starting a yoga practice or those with injury because of the slower pace, but this style of yoga also challenges the more experienced practitioner as well.

Hatha Flow:  Similar to the Hatha class, however, the pace is slightly faster and practiced in a warm room.

Vinyasa:  A vigorous class practiced in a heated room (80 degrees).  You will sweat!  This flowing class is based on Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) that will link breath and movement, encourage the use of bandhas and ujjayi breathing.  Flow your way into and out of all types of postures (asanas) – including arm balances! – while building heat and connecting with the energetic effects of a dynamically aligned practice.  This class is not based on a predetermined asana sequence.
